A sale deed registered in sub registrar office by the builder in favour of buyer. As buyer was abroad, he has not signed the sale deed. Is it a valid sale deed? -- S.K. Singh

As the Builder has completed his part of formality of registration, the buyer will need to appear in person to same registration office and complete his part of registration within 4 months from the date of Agreement to Sale, to avoid penalty. Maximum 8 months with penalty he can complete his registration formality.
