Should Public-Private- Partnership (PPP) projects be brought under the ambit of Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005? -- anonymous

Certainly the public authorities and bureaucrats will never be happy to bring PPP projects under RTI scrutiny
but as the Act envisages wherever there is public funds are involved for any
investment it should automatically
comes under RTI Act 2005 scrutiny. Its only Govt's will which will make a difference
in bringing PPPs under RTI
sooner than later. By all means one of the courts in the country will soon be delivering
such a judgment
and then the the Govt will be left with less option but to declare same in the official
Gazette. Let us wait for the verdict to be announced.
